Philosophy
I have dedicated my career to helping people find true meaning and life purpose. I believe focusing on the present moment can be a grounding experience. Together we can find a way to achieve peace and acceptance of your life as it is now.
Bio
I have 36 years of social work experience, a Bachelors degree in Sociology with Social Service emphasis, a Master Degree of Social Work, 3 years post graduate supervised training in clinical social work and psychotherapy, and have been a Licensed Psychotherapist for 20 years. I have varied professional experiences throughout my career. Those experiences gave me the wonderful opportunity to work with many different types of people and a range of personal challenges.
I have developed a mindfulness lifestyle, which includes yoga and meditation. As well as training in somatic/natural processing, hypnotherapy, sound healing, and Reiki 1.
Specialty
Individual therapy to adults
Parent support/parent coaching for families of children ages 0-5. I do not offer psychotherapy for children.
My practice is exclusively dedicated to treating the following:
- Anxiety
- Perinatal and postpartum issues
- Behavioral concerns of small children
I primarily use a Cognitive-behavioral approach. In addition, stress management, somatic processing, sound baths, hypnotherapy, and mindfulness exercises are often incorporated into treatment to help develop skills that will create calmness and peace in daily life.
